The Anti-Ramble Contract

Loses the ramble. Keeps your meaning.

Most dictation software forces you to talk like a robot or drowns your text in transcription mistakes. Fast Talk honors your intent while eliminating the verbal clutter.

✕

What Gets Removed

  • ✕ Filler words: “Um”, “uh”, “like”, “you know”, and trailing throat-clearing pauses vanish automatically.
  • ✕ Repeated words: Stutters and accidental double-takes (“we we should check”) collapse into clean singular terms.
  • ✕ False starts: Mid-sentence revisions (“let’s meet Wednesday no wait Thursday”) resolve directly into your final decision.
  • ✕ Unformatted mumbling: Missing periods, uncapitalized acronyms, and run-on sentences are structured crisply.
✓

What Stays Untouched

  • ✓ Exact numbers and figures: Every dollar amount, percentage, date, and time is recorded verbatim as spoken.
  • ✓ Critical qualifiers: Words like “never”, “always”, “do not”, and “urgent” are protected with absolute fidelity.
  • ✓ Your natural voice & vocabulary: Your custom slang, product names, team nicknames, and informal warmth stay yours.
  • ✓ Your train of thought: Logic flow and bulleted thinking remain in the exact order you originally reasoned.
You say into your Mac mic:

“Can we please push the deployment to Tuesday because um the design review hasn’t wrapped up yet no I mean the QA checklist isn’t green.”

Fast Talk types into Slack:

“Can we please push the deployment to Tuesday? The QA checklist isn’t green yet.”
